The GE Inspection Technologies USN 60 flaw detector is designed for outdoor use with two independent gates to monitor amplitude and soundpath distance for both flaw detection and thickness measurement applications. It features pulse echo, dual, and thru-transmission test modes as well as measurement modes for zero-to-first and multi-echo with selectable flank or peak detection. This flaw detector also calculates weld ratings according to AWS specification D1.1 (formula D=A-B-C).

GE Inspection Technologies has optimized its USN 60 series for use in direct sunlight and operation at extreme temperatures. These new characteristics make the instruments ideally suited for outdoor use with its increased long battery operation time.

The combination of the rugged USN durability, 11 hours of battery operation, fast rotary knob operation, outstanding ultrasonic performance, and the ﾓsquare wave pulserﾔ form a powerful portable ultrasonic inspection tool.

What's In The Box:

Krautkramer USN 60 unit (DB adjustment wheel gives sporadic results when adjusting the gain up and/or down. Appears to settle down and working properly after the scope has been turned on for 30+ minutes. Scope was tested with several different probes and configurations.)
